Candy making day with 5 boys

Tonight we made about a dozen batches of hard tack candy with the five boys, it was a lot of fun. Microwave recipe goes really quick. Did some more shopping today and made a couple kinds of cookies. More tomorrow and Sat. My plan is to have all baking done by Monday so I can clean the house and get ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Today I got two more trees done, hope to finish this weekend.
Nephew is doing better, thank God. I would like to start baking
cookies soon, so I need to get the decorating done. Will post pics
when I get it finished.
Wrapped some patio stones in gold foil paper and need to make bows, use
them as presents outside, really looks good.

Been a couple wks since I've been here. Finished with the Christmas craft rush, filled the shop, did a show and yesterday did all my outside lights. Today I put two of my eight trees up.
My nephew was in an accident yesterday and took an overdose today. Hopefully he will be ok. My poor sister. How much can one take? She lost her only daughter to suicide 6 years ago.

Tomorrow I hope to put up more trees. Glad outside is done, it's getting colder.

Today I finished more things for the show. Now I'm working on finishing those small chairs, and tomorrow I hope to get them done. I will have to bake and get ready for Thanksgiving on Wed. and need to have Ranjr groomed because the girls are taking the boys and Ranjr for a picture for us for Christmas Wed. evening. Should be a real riot.
Rained all day today, yuk, but I guess it's better than snow.

Getting things done

Today I really got some things done for the show on Saturday. I normally don't do shows any more because of the shop but this one is special, they helped me out when I needed a show, there is no cost involved, so it doesn't hurt to do it.
Hopefully people will be buying, I am trying to price things according to the economy so we will see.
I need to finish those small chairs, got to get them out of the garage. Had the boys today, typed a report for Nick, cooked their favorite chicken and potatoes.
Yesterday went to Easter Seal got a few things, Rand helped me defrost the down freezer, what a chore, but glad it's done before Christmas baking.
I am really getting the want to do Christmas stuff and put things up but have to wait another week, then I can do it.

Our New Baby

Forgot to mention our newest addition, after 8 years of not having a dog, we got Ranjr in May. Name is for Rob, Anthony, Nick, Joey and Randy.

He is absolutely the best puppy, he is now 9 mos old and a joy. He traveled to Fl. 14 hrs. both ways and was just perfect.

He is loved in Fl. as much as he is loved here.

I'm Back

It's been over a year since I posted. Dad passed away and I'm missing him terribly. He was such a wonderful man, he's been my dad for most of my life.
 Many crafts have gone through my fingers and I feel I have mastered the roses.

Been painting them on everything including chairs, eye glass cases, ornaments, you name it.

Boys are growing, Rob is 16, Jill would be so very proud.
