September 5 Ramblings

Well, last night I attended my first football game. I went to watch Anthony play. It was a beautiful night, no rain, and I got to watch him execute a "pulling block", guess he did a great job. But what do I know. Only what I am told, cause I know nothing about football.

This has been a beautiful week here, got some snowmen stuffed and tea dyed. Tomorrow there is a birthday party at the air base for Uncle George and I am having a picnic here later.

Kids are back in school and it's only three wks. till we leave for Fl. for a month. Time will go quickly when we come home and I am trying to get things done for Christmas before we leave. I have quite a bit left from last year but am working on new things.

August 12, 2009

Well, now where have I been? Let me tell you, Bike Week is over, summer is almost over, all outside work has been done, well almost all I wanted to do, class reunion is finished and was a huge success. Now time to think about fall, putting things away and getting ready for Biketoberfest which is a walk in the park compared to Bike Week. Need to paint for the Shop's open house and get it delivered by next week. Got a fridge for the garage full of pop and moved my painting area around, lots more room it seems. Made about 150 tennis ball size no bake cookies for the football team scrimmage on Friday. Enjoyed the summer and got to read quite a bit on my porch. Jill's garden is just beautiful this year, cept the dang Japanese beetle attack in July, hate those things.

Well it's New Years Eve and I'm pretty much ready for tomorrow. We spent the evening at Jan's w/ Jill Cuck, Brady, Mia, Marley, Julie, Bob and Anthony came in.
We had a nice time. Tomorrow dinner is at 1 and Mom, Rick and Boys, Jan and Dusty and Boys and maybe the Taylors.

Found a bunch more addresses for classmates, and started a My Space for the reunion also.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So excited, signed up for Facebook last night and have found three more new classmates addresses that I have not been able to contact for years.

It was worth taking the few minutes to do that. Classmates.com is also a great tool.

Today I need to make sauce for New Years Day lasagna dinner and we are going to Julie's tonight.

Went to look at Cafaro's lights last night, what a display and what a huge cost that must be.

Class Reunion

I have posted a picture of my last Class Reunion in 2004. It is now time to plan the next one. It will be Aug. 7 of 2009. I am in the process of getting reservation letters ready to mail. Will mail them sometime in Jan.

It gets easier every time to do this, with all the gadgets on the computer, I now have addresses on disk and all info, just pop in the disk and print out what I need.

Signed up for a year of Classmates. com, have found some people I couldn't find before. Feel it's worth the 20 bucks.

Christmas 2008

Another Christmas has come and gone, all that work, baking, shopping, wrapping, cleaning, decorating, cooking, over in a matter of a couple hours.
Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time, Christmas Eve was Mom's birthday and even Rick and the boys came. Ranjr did great with all the people. Lots of food and fun.
Kids all enjoyed Christmas, made just enough food, not too much, killer coconut cream pies, they all seemed to like their gifts, a few would be returned but that's ok.
Today I just sat, took a couple naps and worked on my computer for a while.
Need to get a letter ready for class reunion this year, 45 years, who'd a thunk it.
Also need to get things ready for Bike Week in Fl., will probably leave for there early Feb.

The night before the night before

It's the night before the night before Christmas and I'm almost ready. A few things to do tomorrow, some cooking and some cleaning and I will be ready. Whewwwwwwwww!! Why do we do this to ourselves? Baked over 20 kinds of cookies, just love giving them away. People are so amazed with homemade cookies, I think with women having to work these days, homebaked is few and far between.

Everyone will be here at noon on Christmas, but tomorrow night we will all be at Mom's for her birthday celebration, yes, she was born on Christmas Eve. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

Hope everyone is happy with their gifts but they are all returnable if not.

Hope to be able to post more in the New Year and also to have the nerve to go public with my Blog.
